Meet Kim Randle
Trauma Therapist
Hello! My name is Kim Randle, and I’m a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. I am passionate about the work I do and have almost a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults experiencing trauma and mental illness. I found my passion for helping people through experiencing my own hardships in life and seek to share not only my professional expertise but my empathy for what it means to overcome adversity. My expertise includes helping people overcome issues around childhood trauma, sexual and domestic violence, military and first responder trauma, and more.
My approach to therapy is unique because I believe therapy is more than just paying someone for advice. Therapy is a relationship that we build with someone we trust over time that helps us understand our experiences. It requires an incredible amount of courage and vulnerability to go to therapy. In fact, studies show that people have more success with a therapist they feel safe and connected to than with therapists who rely only on treatment as it looks in the textbook.
This is why my approach to therapy is also integrative, which means that I utilize multiple modalities or tools in treatment to guide my practice. Through integrating multiple approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy and more, we can create a more individualized treatment approach that works with you or your child’s unique experience.
I look forward to learning more about you and hearing your story. Thanks so much for your time!
